Post by Gmcyukon »

guys please help me when I try to use either the 149.154.159.134 or 46.4.199.222 DNS servers on my router the router cannot access the internet, so no device my house including the (BD-D5700) can access the internet with these servers I have followed all the instructions but even though the bluray is able to connect to the router it says tat there is no Internet and check the DNS. So are these servers working for Nov 2013 or are thee new ones no. thankyou in advance

Thank you arris69 for your reply. But when I try to run my BD-D5700 on either the 149.154.159.134 or the 46.4.199.222 servers it is unable to connect the to internet. I have the 2012/02/04_001023 firmware. Thank you for your help

those servers are only for dowgrade, no internet for browser/youtube and so on. Set back your regular dns for normal usage.

Thank you juuso. I understand that I can not use the servers for normal use and that I can only use the servers for downgrade but when I try to use these servers for downgrade I get this message from the player

Local connection is completed. But cannot connect to the Internet.
Check the DNS setting from Network Setting and contact you Internet service
provider to use Internet service

Should I try to downgrade the firmware of my BD-D5700 even though its giving me the message

Local connection is completed. But cannot connect to the Internet.
Check the DNS setting from Network Setting and contact you Internet service
provider to use Internet service

I just don't know how the blu ray can downgrade the firmware without connecting to the internet

Why dont you just try what you yourself suggested ...

Ignore message, - and command your device to do an upgrade (actually downgrade) using internet ..

You will learn one of two things ...

1. It dosent work, and you can keep bugging juuso and Arris69 ..... or
2. It works, and you could have saved yourself some time in the first place
