UE40ES8000 - 2003.4 - 3TB HDD for PVR / Time Shift

Hi,

I have purchased Seagate 3TB Expansion USB 3.0 3.5 Inch Desktop Hard Drive to replace my failing 2TB drive
only to find out that my TV (with firmware 2003.4) can only see 2TB.

I have formatted the drive originally as NTFS and the TV formatted whole of the drive as XFS,
but only displays it as 2TB.

If I upgraded to latest firmware currently showing as (T-ECPDEUC-2011.1)

would that solve the problem?
