Good day all,
I have a 2012 Smart TV "UA55ES7500R" and I just bought the Evolution Kit from Amazon to change my TV to be a 2013 model. The problem that I am facing is that the Evolution Kit is "SEK-1000/ZA" and what I should have gotten is "SEK-1000/XT". I believe they all have the same hardware but different software. Now when I install the kit on the TV this message is showing ?no upgrade available? is there any way to have the right software and install it on my TV??
Please help

Re: Samsung Evolution Kit SEK-1000 (2012)
Bumping this Q since I have similair problem.
Have been looking all over www for some good input, ideas or solution for this subject.
All I can see is that we are many who have been dumb enough to not check what region Evo kit version works in.
I bought my Evo kit from Ebay (US) with 66% discount comparing with prices back in Sweden.
It was to much of a bargain to not buy it..(dumb ass me!)
However, Im a rather stubborn guy and I want to try to find a solution for me and for others in the same situation.
As I understand there is a firmware in Evo kit who recognize which country/region my TV is situated in,
(I have a UE55ES7005) and that is what blocking Evo kit to download updates. That is my suspicion anyway.
ES7005 recognize Evo kit, installs but stops when downloading updates, asking for USB stick firmware which Ive provided but will not be recognized by Evo kit.
My thinking is to change country (Nordics) in TV and change to US could be a possible solution. (?)
I have already tried to change DNS to US to see if its a WAN problem - but no luck.
Since you guys are more familiar with the firmware - I would like to ask you some questions BEFORE i do something foolish and brick my TV.
1. Changing country - How will changing country from Nordics to US impact my TV?
2. Is it possible to get back all settings to day one start up if using Factory reset?
If anyone have have any thougts, suggestions I sure appreciate it.
I will also try to explain a little bit more exact if anyone have questions
Cheers,
Magnus

It is not a reply but rather a question i am going through the same dilemma as camelrider. I dont even know which evolution kit i should have bought; i checked through my TV model and serial number. I have a 55ES8000FXZA. Now the SEK-1000/ZA should have worked with it is it not?
Also, have you guys sorted out yet any solution to the problem.
TV Model: 55ES8000FXZA
EVo Kit: SEK-1000/ZA
Thank you,

Which country do you live in?
If you live in the US (ver ZA) this is the compatible TV list: http://www.samsung.com/us/video/tvs-acc ... compatible
For my own case/problem I have givin up to find a solution - I put in a order for a compatible version of a evo kit for the Nordic countries.
