If you have 1013.5 or the new 1014.1 firmware and run the US hub you will get the new V4.003 Netflix app.
The app works fine on the BD-F6500 player.
This is unlike the F series TV's unless it is US and has US firmware. Currently V4.003 Netflix crashes on EU firmware.

Re: BD-F6500 Firmware 1014.1 - new apps
Are you sure the new Netflix v4.003 works on BD-F6500? I got the update notification but i didn't update because i didn't want to loose Netflix access. If it works on BD-F6500, then that does not make any sense to me, this player is not even available in the US...theslydog wrote:If you have 1013.5 or the new 1014.1 firmware and run the US hub you will get the new V4.003 Netflix app.

Is there any way to root the BD-F6500 to get the app and try it on F series TV's?

No but you dont need to. You just need to decrypt the apps from the F series TV and then add them to the BD in developer mode.

This bd-f6500 is a very strange device... Even Vudu app works on it. On every other device I have tested, it tells me that Vudu only works on devices sold in US. The strange thing is that this bluray player model is not even sold in the US.
