Hi,
i read about the CI+ standard and it seems that a standard CICam is fully
usable even in a CI+ slot as long as the ci_protection_descriptor is not set
(which means circumventing CI+ DRM restrictions).
If we find a way to always unset the ci_protetcion_descriptor bit, then normal
CICams could be used on CI+ only channels.
Did I overlook something ?
Has someone found the function in the sourcecode which receives to
transport stream from the tuner ?

Easy way to bring down CI+Cam-only mode ?

This is my understanding, too. And probably the only reason for countermeasures against tampering such as authuld.
However, so far I did not succeed in fetching the TS from tuner, but I am still investigating.
