executing command/script using RC?

Hello,
is it possible to execute a script using only remote control, without using a computer?

For example, if I have to refresh shared directory I need to switch TV off/on OR turn on a computer and launch a command from telnet...
Using remapped key on RC would be extremely useful for this if only it is possible.

Yeah, RCremap with CMD support exists and is already available for donors (take a look at "Extras" forum spoiler on index page)

If it's just a matter of start/stop/restart script you can use webif at address http://YOUR_TV_IP:1080/cgi-bin/test.cgi
At least you don't have to turn off/on TV, but a remote machine is still needed though
