Hi,
I bought a UA46F8000 in Dubai some months back. I have now moved back to Denmark and would like to set the local to Denmark or Nordic.
If I enter the service menu it only allows me to change the local to countries covered by the UA version, I.e Middle East, Asia, aus, NZ etc. but no European countries.
Is it possible to change it to a European version, basically making it a UE version? It strangely
enough knows the major set top box vendors in Denmark, but I would like to avoid the box.
Has anyone been able to change to this?

Changing region on F8000 (UA to UE)
Re: Changing region on F8000 (UA to UE)
mainboard replacement to UE version = no set top box. Here is no other way to use firmware from different region on F series.

Thanks, tough not the answer I was hoping for
Are there any other ways for a UA version to be able to scan the digital channels from a Danish cable company?

Is the 2014 evolution kit region based?
Re: Changing region on F8000 (UA to UE)
SEK-1000 didn't work on wrong region TV, so I assume the SEK-2000 doesn't work either, but I'm not 100% sure.thjensen wrote:Is the 2014 evolution kit region based?
It does not have tuners in it, so it does not help with your problem anyway.
F9000 + SEK-3500U
Re: Changing region on F8000 (UA to UE)
Ok Thanks M11, I fear it will be a set top box solution then. I still find it strange that the UA version knows about the Danish Cable TV providers (Youse and Stofa comes up as an option), when I change the change to Set Top Box, perhaps this is because I have changed the HUB settings to Denmark (at least that part works fine in terms of Netflix, HBO Nordic etc).
Is it possible to do a manual setup of the countries?
I have tried most of the countries that is covered by the UA region, but none of them seems to give me the right Channel options, some of the countries doesnt even support digital channels.
Apologies for all the questions, I would just really like to avoid the STB
