App for Network Remote Control

Hi everybody,

I have a question. I need to control a few UExxH6600 (FW: T-GFSDEUC-1230.4) over network.
I don't need too much functions, just input switching, channel switching and audio control preferably with feedback.
I understand that I could try to root the sammy and then use SammyGOrc but we should try to avoid this, especially as I don't need any advantages of rooting besides remote control and I don't want to deal with the disadvantages.
So my idea was to have an app, which starts on tv startup, runs in the background, communicates with my remote application and controls the tv.
From the pieces of information I gathered this should be possible, but maybe I didn't find all the right pieces and maybe there is some guru here who can proof me wrong or maybe right. I've never written a samsung app before and it would be nice to have a little confirmation from qualified source before I start going down that road. And maybe a little help too...
