Completely messed up my UN46F6300 by accessing maintenance menu
Completely messed up my UN46F6300 by accessing maintenance menu
I'm hoping some of the wizards on this forum can help. I just found out how to access My Samsung UN46F6300 maintenance menu. Not knowing how to navigate the menu, I must have switched a default that now makes my remote only work with certain functions. For example: when I try to enter my PIN (for a reset) my remote does not respond. The power works to turn it on, but not off. Using the manual joy stick on back of TV, I can navigate to Smart Hub. But once in an App in Smart Hub, remote is unresponsive. Not sure exactly what I did wrong.
That said; Is there ANY way to put the TV back the way it was. Ultimately, I'd love to reinstall the Firmware. However, it's on the latest firmware, and when I place the USB in the TV, it says "no valid file" I assume that's because it already has the same firmware as the one on my USB.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm willing to replace factory firmware with something you guys may have created.
Thanks

Does anyone know if I can reset the TV to factory original?

Check forum for service manuals.
Also here you can find some report that changing "type" in service menu to another value will reset service menu to its defaults and then changing back the correct "type."
I don't know if it works. But you can try searching and then you decide what to do.

Thanks, notengo13. WHere in the service menu is "type" located? I don't see it in the menu.

Ok, I found the Type in the maintenance/service menu. Now I'm not sure which type the UN46F6300 corresponds to. Does anyone know?

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Thanks again notengo13, you're awesome! Are these settings good for a UN46F6300? The list above appears to be for a UE model.
Thanks

Does anyone know how to save the input and exit from the service screen?
