Oh thanks for the offer. But we don't know much information on UN40C5000 hardware. We don't know also if that TV has an Ethernet jack or does it have networking capability via usb dongle...
Even if TV doesn't have those capabilities we could install those options as we made it to B series C550 TV.
Installing browser requires some other options too. But I can say that even if it's possible, don't wait that hacks available soon.
Might be, your offer could accelerate some things. Good offer to anyone who has already will to hack their C5000 TV.

If your TV has Ethernet jack, than it's highly possible hack.
Does UNxxC5000 supports widget applications?

It comes to my mind if you are use those TVs at indoor conditions.
Instead of trying to run web page at behind,
I think it's better to show pictures on OSD.

What about if those TVs just shows normal TV stream or video and there is blinking/constantly visible signage those are half transparent or opaque as you deserve :)
It's better, someone might wanted to watch TV for a while...
And people also wanted to look TV screen that has a stream on it instead of a signage. :)
We could display OSD pictures messages on B series TVs and I think it's not hard to make it same on C series.

No, it's supported spam since it's GPLv2 :) Anyway I cleaned the link.
Now needed a hacker who port to NetSurf to UNxxC5000 if it's possible. :)

A hacker who try to port netsurf or similar program to UNxxC5000 need hardware in hand.
So I don't think if I could make such a thing without having/inspecting the what UNxxC5000 framework has.
For example similar hack for UExxC5000 might don't work for your UN device also.

That means hacker who try to work on it need same device, same hardware platform (those model might have two different boards in it, trident and Mstar, as it in C550 series.) also same firmware with your devices.
That guarantees the being successful on that hack or that hack might doesn't work on your equipment as intended.

Since they are cheapest LED series models, they will sold more and it became easier to find hacker to make this job.
But need some patience. All I can do that marking this post as sticky for month.

You sure NetSurf will be good enough for Concerto? I thought Concerto requires a browser with JavaScript support (?).
