Since your hardware model has T2P at the end, that means your device CI+ one. "Upgrade File (ver.T-CHL7DEUC-2005.0)" belongs to LE40B650T2W models.
Your Firmware is different than that. Please enter full model name to the samsung page to get correct firmware.
Also CI+ devices are not yet supported by SamyGO Firmware Patcher Script. But there is way to enter the device and able to mount FS like NFS... You can search and find informations about CI+ devices.

No, you can extract the directory from archive firsttollewerbung wrote:The DLed program is a tar'ed and gzip'ed (.tar.gz) file; however, I believe that first one has to extract all files, or does the TV understand archives?

I don't think so. I recommend the update.tollewerbung wrote:Thanks, I will do this.
Re. the FW update:
The TV now recognized the correct FW which is 2006 (compared to the currently installed 2005). Is there are chance that upgrading the FW from 2005 to 2006 for a CI+ ("P") TV may make a FW hack even more difficult, e.g. by stronger encryption? Then I would rather not upgrade the FW.
I don't know that problem.tollewerbung wrote:Re. the orientation of fotos (with portrait format) displayed on the TV:
Some of them appear "lying on their side", so I guess there is a problem with the orientation flag of the EXIF data maybe?
However, I wonder why my TV displays those fotos wrongly, whereas on my Macbook they all appear correctly.

If there was a chance to have write access to the Wiki, I would very much like to add gained information there, which is more easily available in the Wiki, compared to the many posts scattered in the forum.![]()
