This is question to Samsung. I don't know why dont we able to switch to alternative firmwares like we do this on B,C series TVs.

After geting root, it will be possible.
But here is no simple switching to previuos firmware. Alternative exe.img is to be reflashed everytime, because here is only one partition on TV for it. But here is another problem. Hashes are rsa encrypted and we dont know keys/algos. Flashing firmware wothout correct hashes is 100 percent brick. A bit dangerous trick without insurance :-)

Yes, when I purchased my D6510, I had the option for alternative firmware. But as soon as I upgraded firmware by USB, this option was greyed out.
