DLNA + MKV 1080p 3D = buffering problems

Post by Gia90 »

Hi everyone,
Every time i try to watch a 3d 1080p mkv movie trough DLNA, the playback often stops for some secs to buffer...
I know it is a common problem, but i'd like to know the reason of the problem and, if possible, a solution.

Is this caused by my router bandwith, wich is too slow for stream a full hd movie? (i use a b-g router not n)
I use meezmo as media server, is it the best one?
Can i change something into the mkv container to make the stream better? Or i must re-encode/convert the video file?

Any help/advice/info is useful :D
Thks everyone.

Thx for the answer :)
But i still couldn't understand...I think that a full 3d hd movie's medium bitrate is around 10-15Mbps (audio+video stream) so far enough from my router 27Mbps...
But maybe i'm wrong xD just trying to understand..

Well, i think using cabled connection should solve the problem (paying attention to the quality/bandwidth of the ethernet cable)..
By the way, i can't connect my tv through cable, since my router is too far from it..

When i said "quality/bandwidth of the ethernet cable" i was referring to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethernet#V ... f_Ethernet , because there are ethernet cables that runs at 10 Mbit/s (even if i don't think that someone is still using it xD)..
katers2 wrote:More than 100meters? :-D Ethernet just supports up to 100m.
Well, 100m, long enough but simply i don't want to deal with a cable that runs trough all my rooms LOL so i just prefer wireless...

Anyway, i asked you something about full 3d hd movie's medium bitrate compared to router bandwidth in a upper post...
What do you think about that?
