Timer recording to network share

Hi i read some threads about this but still not sure if it is possible in this way.
when i start my TV SamyGO widget starts automatic from ticker and i can watch and record to the network.
i dont have an USB drive connected to it, only using VUSB.

1. when programming an timer and put it in standby it does not work, seems widget is not starting.

2. somewhere was an info about modifyng the start.sh or run.sh to load the neccesary scripts and/or modifing img.exe. is this the way it is also supposed for D-Series, mine is D6500.

yes, this way is ok for D55xx and above including D6 series. D7/8 doesn`t have such possibility.
One is important: wrong made start.sh leads your TV into the brick. No chance to repair it at home.

BTW, on latest firmwares where SamyGO doesn`t work, is possible to inport start.sh and get SamyGO Extensions running at TV start.

Ok didnt "brick" it completly but i have no access to any SamyGO features anymore, SamyGO Widget gets executed without errors.
is it Possible to get an Widget that (re)moves a wrong start.sh from /mtd_rwarea/ as SamyGO widget also just calls a Script

sorry i didnt get it i copied SamyGO extensions to /mtd_down/SamyGO/ and added the folowing line to /mtd_rwarea/start.sh
/mtd_down/SamyGO/rcSGO /mtd_down/SamyGO >/dev/null 2>&1 &

I prepared some usb image, The how to is comming.

The goal is to start SamyGO all extensions on D6 series (sorry, just D6 and later - D55xx> ) together with TV start.

Also works for latest firmwares!

where is this USB Image? Can i help in some way for the How To, i try to upgrade to FW1015.1 and see if it clears /mtd_rwarea and or /mtd_rwcommon

You can clear start.sh by formatting mtd rwarea using exlink cable. Check C series wiki (yes, C, because steps are OK for D series too).
After you formatt it, tv restarts like it should. Firmware upgrade doesn't help you for this.

Sure you could test new (old) way to get root on D6 series... now this is tested on mine tv and works fine.

got no response from ex-link cable seems TX is buggy or defective, but RX was working so i coul watch, SamyGO was still doing something on start.
then i saw "sh: /dtv/usb/sda1/run.sh: not found" but i had run.sh on the stick and it was in VFAT formated. then i tried ext3 wich shows ...unknown...
for file system, a linux system who does not like ext. so i formated to XFS and put "mv /mtd_rwarea/start.sh /mtd_rwarea/start.bak" and "reboot" in it,
make it executable and on start of SamyGO my TV reboots and i got the control back. so it should say XFS for rooting and execute script

this was the last line in the log from start script /mtd_rwarea/rcSGO: eval: line 1: /mtd_wiselink/SamyGO/bin/busybox: not found

it is this one, the wiki for D should be improved, because it is hard for people to get in when start with D but according to the similarity maybe merged with C

Hello again,
got a new mainboard, now firmware is 1018 and SamyGO widget is not working.
but i would like to have the features PVR unecrypted and NFS, according to your last post juuso i've found a post about rooting D-Series with hotelmode in russian language is there a english version somewhere because i dont want to use google translator for this. thanks in advance for your bother. maybe you could supply something, files or support.
I played a bit with hotel mode, had a file in in the Clone dir and the Clone.dat points this to /dtv/usb/sda2 which is XFS formated, the rights to this file are 755 so it would be executable, so this means just copy a custom start.sh to rwarea is possible by default
