I am trying to activate my tv's PVR. Has anyone got any experience on this model? (or nearby sistermodel?)
Does anyone have bulletproof way to do this?
The buttonsequense: "info-->menu-->mute-->on" takes me to the service menu, so that part works.

There might be some mistakes there.
I think it is NOT very brilliant thing to change that model number, even though someone had done this and enabled PVR by default. If I recall, it was something like C6700 --> C6800 , because PVR is enabled in that model. Please note, I MIGHT_NOT remember these models correctly, try to search forums / google, if interested. DO NOT TRY if you don't know beforehand it works!
