And I could use it to send IR signal to my amplifier to power off. This would be nice feature indeed.

It's possible I think but, Instead it's easy to use ping to detect if TV is open or not...

Hi,
I think it's possible to add an extra line to the rc.local script that runs exeDSP.
Just add an extra call to a poweroff script after exeDSP exits. It should have features to prevent system reboots or halts, but otherwise I think you can do whatever you like in it. It will mean an extra flash of your firmware, and probably a short name for your script, depending on the free space in the image file.
