Restart tv after turning internet@tv

Post by wlodek23 »

Hello

I have this problem:
TV - LE40B651 after uploading a few widgets tv shut down
when you select internet@tv television hangs
and restarts after approximately 15-20 s,
select a country - other
country UK in the choice of internet@tv work but only yahoo,
, change the other country does not re-default setup
internet@tv manager and again tv crashes and restarts
I noticed that the folder / mtd_down / widgets is empty and yet to be
the manager of the Internet, already was copying the files from the ftp package manager
to that folder but it did not help.
Can someone share the contents of the folder / mtd_down / widgets,
Copy it to the tv, and I think it should work

Thank you

the best way is to reflash whole partition.(not just copy over ftp - you lose file permissions).
To get this you have to know:
1. Full TV model (+letters after model number)
2. Widget manager you`re using: yahoo or non yahoo (CIS countries and Ireland)

Post this info here pls.

To reflash this partition:
check first with command mount what is stl number of partition /mtd_down
On your TV model it should be /dev/stl0/16. But better to check before to start.

1. umount

Code: Select all

umount /mtd_down
2. erase coresponding bml and format it using stl.format:

Code: Select all

partition.erase /dev/bml0/16

Code: Select all

stl.format /dev/bml0/16
3. copy attached partition dump (extract from archive first!) from USB to /mtd_swu (here should be enough place). If your usb letter differs, you have to use you`rs. Check usb with command "mount | grep "/dtv/usb/sd*"

Code: Select all

cp /dtv/usb/sda/stl0_16_dump /mtd_swu/
4. flash it (this takes a while, be patient)

Code: Select all

dd if=/mtd_swu/stl0_16_dump of=/dev/stl0/16
When you get

Code: Select all

387072+0 records in
387072+0 records out
(numbers may differ), means, everything is fine...
5. Mount your reflashed partition back...

Code: Select all

mount -t rfs /dev/stl0/16 /mtd_down
6. Finish. Check Internet@TV

Unfortunately it does not work.
Here's what I noticed
1.After installation: "mount-t rfs / dev/stl0/16 / mtd_down" folder / mtd_down contained
files, but when you turn on the internet@tv television crashed and restarted
2.Folder / dev/stl0 contains files named from 12 to 17 with a 0 bit each
3.Restored to factory settings and CIS countries, and the folder / mtd_down is blank and the Internet@tv is not installed, before installing the

Do You have any solution ?

Thank you for your help, now it works.

I turned off the tv, I took out my lan cable and turned on the television, then turned on the internet@tv and works manager.

Today I added a widget NetplayerB and the problem happened again but now repair held fast.
The problem with the widget to another topic.
