Hello I have a lcd tv 40 "samsung le40r86bd a few months a band of about 20cm to the right is not anymore, I can only see so many colorful stripes. the technician told me that Samsung would be too costly to repair. Actually, I believe you can re-calibrate some settings, using "DEBUG menu", if your TV has such a menu. That menu allows changing resolution also. There are settings to do that but those settings are too complicated and don't know if that settings works....
You need an ExLink cable. Than enter debug menu.. But don't know if it's exist on your modal...Regards.

the debug menu is accessed via exlink cable connected to PC using hyper terminal?
I try after I build the cable, so I have nothing to lose. If you need pics or anything I can do, if they can serve to help me .... once entered into debug mode, what should I look?
