UE40D7000 changing Guide type Rovi causes Power Off

In my case (UE46D6500 Rel. 1016 / about 70 channels stored) the TV was reacting much more swiftly and was not restarting at night any more.

The installation results after fresh Rovi installation in a data volume of about 20MB (according to the Setup Info screen).

But the downside is; the nightly download was working fine but only for 1 - 2 nights.

Then fore some reason there is no nightly data download (it seems to be the old download is stuck n its data volume), I had to download manually.

The data volume was also much higher (about 60MB) in comparison to the first download (about 20MB).

So either the old 1016 firmware does not work with the new Rovi or (and that is what I am guessing) there are some corrupt old files from old Rovi releases left on my TV.

My next step should be a complete factory reset, maybe update to 1018 and reinstallation of Samygo with all my configurations.

Up to now I have been too lazy for this task especially as I do not know if the efforts will finally result in a properly running system.

Has anybody with 1016 / 1018 firmware the Rovi EPG running smoothly on a D6xxx unit?

If yes I will give a factory reset and a clean installation a new try.
