I have successfully patched the original 2005 firmware using SamyGo patcher 0.22 and selected "advanced mode".
In the wiki, i read that after flashing it with advanced mode, i have to create the file SamiGO.sh via telnet;
-Can i temporarily avoid to create it (i would want to set shares types/settings later) or my tv won't restart properly anymore without it?
-The code in SamyGO.sh use usb.sh file (if present) on a usb drive to avoid boot-loop, but what code i have to put into usb.sh in case it's needed?
I'm about to buy a Linksys Wusb600n v1 because it's id (1737:0071) appears in Erdem's "rt2870 Supported device list" in the "alternatives wifi sticks thread".
I've hex searched the rt2870sta.ko in SamyGO WiFi Extension Addon v0.01 but that id isn't there...
In SamyGO All Extensions 0.03.1, a textfile says it includes a new SamyGO-WiFi-Extension-Addon-v0.03 but there is no more the module because now it patches directly the boot.img (but with what id's???).
A search for 1737 (part of the id) in the entire all extension 0.03.1, but no file contains it.
My resulting patched firmware neither has trace of 1737.
In the wiki "How to enable Telnet/NFS/CIFS/SAMBA", in order to use alternative sticks on a patched firmware, i have to put the patched rt2870sta.ko in /mtd_rwarea/driver/ and the rest of the info are really unclear to me...
-What i got to do to be sure that my stick will work before i buy it?
