Apps on TV UE55ES8005!

I subscribe to a TV provider through the Internet (www.Atn.com). They have apps for Android devices, and I've installed it on my Samsung Tab 10. I want to install the same apps on my Samsung Tv UE55ES8005, because everyt time I want to see the TV-channels I have to open the internet and go on www.atn.com and watch TV channels there! Is it possible to transfer / install the app from the Samsung Tab to the TV? How can apps be installed manually from PC or Tab over to the TV?
Should the TV be rooted?

As far as I have understood this is not possible even if you are rooted.
The TV is mor linux based than Android based and it is not sufficent to copy an apk and install it.
