D4003@D5005 screen problems

Post by Gia90 »

Hi to everyone,
Some time ago, I changed my TV model into the SM from d4003 to d5005 to enable USB video playback.
Lately, I'm experiencing these issue (see attached pics).

When I turn the TV on, at first it shows some moving lines in the right part of the screen, and, after some time, it ends like in the pics.
Turning off the TV and back on, the right part become visible again, but after some time, the issue happens again.

I think it is related to the changed model, do you think it is software or hardware related? Resetting the SM values could solve the problem? Or the screen panel is damaged?

Thank you for your precious help.

for me it is more likely contacts problem. i think mobo/lvds or lvds/panel. Change type in sm is just co-accidence.

I'll try to reset the SM, to make sure it is an HW problem and, if it is HW related, to make my warranty still valid...

UPDATE:
It seems that changing the lvds format in the SM has reduced the issue...btw I can still notice some strange artifactd on the Samsung logo when turning the tv on..

I think I will take it to repair center anyway.
Can you suggest which are the most important thing to reset, to make it look as "untouched"?
Thank you again..
