LE40C575 suddenly stopped working.

Hello there!

So, in the end of 2011 I rooted my LE40C575
I don't remeber how I did or anything else.
I did not use any features I got from the new firmware.

I was watching TV one day and suddenly the tv went off.
Well ok, that was strange and i tried to turn it on again and i got the dreaded 6 led flashes and then reboot.
I have changed the power board or what you call it. The old one had some bad caps so i just replaced the board entirely.

It sits there for a couple of seconds and then reboots.
Sometimes i can input 10041004 but it tells me "/bin/sh: 10041004: not found"

What can I do now?
Throw it out the window? Samsung will not touch it. Out of warranty by now.

you could at least try do change the /mtd_rwarea/PartitionSwitch_1_0 to use the first instead of the second partition.

How do i do that?
This is using the VGA-port. Telnet.
I only have a couple of seconds before the tv reboots again. Some of the time I can't input anything.

I would be happy to go back to original fw but it seems unlikely.

No big chance, but at least you could try.

Attach USB with script on it, called SamyGO.sh with content:

rm -f /mtd_rwarea/start.sh

Power on TV and, connect terminal (exlink cable)
Input:
10041004
CB
After this USB gets powered and if your TV was rooted, this script will be executed. Damaged script file will be deleted.

If this won`t help, we will try to switch your TV to 0st set of partitions, depends on what is the actual reason of the brick (damaged start.sh or damaged partitions...)

Woho!

I got it working!

I managed to put CB after 10041004. I have tried that before. Strange.

The TV now works. Thank you so much.
Do I need to do anything more? Could i go back to the original fw?

Maybe I should leave it now if it happens again?
Could it be caused by the old and bad power supply (replaced now)?

My terminal now. Adding Chromecast, playing video from YouTube

your firmware is original. you just lost hack. I'm sure the problem was faulty powerboard, it caused damage of customised start.sh.
