Ubuntu TV / Google TV Flashed on Samsung TV

Would it be possible to flash Ubuntu/Google TV to Samsung Hardware, Even better to be able to run both Samsung's Native Software and Ubuntu TV at the same time, as they are both linux distros.

Most D Series with 6000/6100 above should have the hardware to support it, If i tried to install it on my tv would I remove the samsung TV Software, or would I be able to execute it via the shell? (SamyGo Webshell)

Also would it be able to get the tv using this software to write to any format other than XFS?

I have had my Sony Google TV box for about a year and love it, but my roommate has a media PC with Ubuntu on it. It seems to be a lot better with streaming media over the network and browsing Internet and whatnot. It got me wondering if anybody has ever tried to flash some other types of Linux on it and had any success?

Or at least anybody have any luck getting the boot-loader unlocked?

Google TV is closed source so it is out. Ubuntu TV looks like it has some pretty serious hardware requirements.

During development Ubuntu TV was tested on an Acer Aspire Revo 3600 and 3700. These sport a 1.6GHz Atom CPU and VDPAU-capable nVidia GPU. All testing was done with the nVidia binary driver installed from the repository.

Not sure what the specs on the internal hardware for these TVs are, but I do not think they are up to the challenge. I think the most we could hope for is porting Android to them, but you would need to use something like Ice Cream Sandwich or Jelly Bean with tablet support. Those guys need a newer kernel than was is even on the E series TVs though.
