NAS and UE55ES6100

Hello,
I have UE55ES6100. Is there a possability to connect from my TV to NAS. I want to wacth movies from my NAS. DLNA is not an option for me, because it is not displaying subtitles.
I've read that this is possible for some older samsung models, what about mine?

Of course.
You need to use NFS or SMB.
Look in the forum and there are several discussion on this.
Also in the wiki it is explained how to configure the init script to your needs.
It is a bit triky but depending from your NAS it might be even very quick to configure.

Yes, you first have to root your TV by installing SamyGO: E series widget -autostart w/o USB
Know that if your firmware is 2000.2 or greater this procedure won't work. In that case, another suitable one is available for donors only.

yes, you have to do your own research on this forum and get well with information. Seem you haven`t read here around to much. Everything is explaned, just you have to spend a little time for reading.

Ok...I am not at home these days, so I Will do my researchwhen I come home. Few years ago I managed to install LGmod on LG TV....LGMOD is probably alternative for LG...

Hello,
I need help. I installed skype. I opened it once. It asked me about my account. I closed Skype. Than I download SammyGo and exstract the folder to USB key. Than I turned off TV, plug USB...when I turned ON TV and enter smart HUB, there is no SammyGo icon. What did I do wrong?
