[PC] SamyGO PVRDecoder for E/F/H series - Version 1.8.2.53
Re: [PC] SamyGO PVRDecoder for E/F series - Version 1.5.3.4
Nice thx for your info, gonna test this out tomorrow. Can you use this method without rooting the tv.

No, root is mandatory, at least to extract keys.kipk wrote:Can you use this method without rooting the tv.

Ok thx for you info and help.

This worked for me! Thanks!zoelechat wrote:Ok, now telnet this command:and try again PVRdecoderCode: Select all
chmod 755 /mtd_rwcommon/samyGOso
Re: [PC] SamyGO PVRDecoder for E/F series - Version 1.5.3.4
This "missing" chmod 755 /mtd_rwcommon/samyGOso is actually NOT missing in the PVRDecoder,
but since the time I programmed the PVRDecoder I have learned that any given TV may reject
a "chmod" command randomly, and that I am supposed to "hammer" this flag.
The upcomming Christmas version (with support for H-models) will write this flag iteratively until
the flag can be verified to be set correctly.

Re: [PC] SamyGO PVRDecoder for E/F series - Version 1.5.3.4
I have a question about your information, that: "New version 1.5.3.4 is introducing offline decoder, allowing recordings to be decrypted directly from USB-device by connecting it to PC."
I am not able to connect/read/decrypt USB-flash disk with recordings with SamyGOPVRDecoder.exe aplication (version 1.5.3.4).
Important note: I have no access to TV (Samsung UE40F6200) - it is not my TV - I have only USB-flash disk with recordings from this TV...
I did these steps:
- Installation Linux Reader
- Run Linux Reader
- Plug-in USB-flash disk with recordings from TV into Windows 7 Pro 64bit
- Linux Reader displays USB-flash disk as the path "/dtv/usb/sda1 1"
- Recordings are stored in subfolder ../CONTENTS
- Folder contains 6 files for each of recording: .cip, .inf, .mdb, .mta, .srf, .ss
- Open Firewall for SamyGOPVRDecoder.exe
- Run SamyGOPVRDecoder.exe
- Scan USB-devices
- Error: Connecting to 127.0.0.1:21 ... FAILED. Unable to connect FTP-server in TV. Please check setup.
- When the path /dtv/usb/sda1 1\CONTENTS\ is used (see Settings > Paths), the error is the same...
What is wrong?
Is the SamyGOPVRDecoder.exe really usable in offline mode?
Could you, please, help me.
Thanks in advance.

Re: [PC] SamyGO PVRDecoder for E/F series - Version 1.5.3.4
To do offline decoding, it's mandatory to first extract keys online, so you need access to TV and it must be rooted (see first line of first post)
Once keys are extracted you'll get a .key file for each recording and you'll be able to decode offline through dedicated option in Tools menu. Under no circumstances by setting an arbitrary localhost FTP server IP nor a random unexisting path to recordings.

Like Zoelechat says, -
In the same menu as you found "Off-line decoding", you will find a menu-item extracting the relevant keys to the USB-device.
This menu-item will extract (from TV) the keys we need to do off-line decoding. And this requires that TV is rooted.
Thus, in your situation .. you have no chance, unless you revisit original TV, root it, plug in USB-device and THEN extract the bloody keys using PVRDecoder
Once keys have been extracted to the USB-device, you can turn off TV, and move USB-device to PC for the actual off-line decoding.
Notice the column called "Key Present" (last one) in the off-line decoder module ... if it says "NO", you cannot decode recording.
If it says "YES", you did everything right, and off-line decoding should be successfull.

If you're able to use PVRdecoder, it means you've finally succeeded in downgrading and/or rooting your fw?muhaloglu wrote:USB listed. Waiting for user.

The solution is probably just above:
