No man, I'm expecting an explaination ahahasectroyer wrote: Lol I thought my answer was clear. I think "yes"
What plug-in are you talking about? I ignore itLordbyte wrote: Talk to sectroyer ... he has got this brilliant plug-in for the TV.
It will decode recordings as they are recorded - in real-time .. and place the decoded file on a TV USB-device.
From your description, I would say it's EXACTLY what I am looking forLordByte wrote:How close is that, to what you wish for ?!
I don't know yet what we're talking about, but let's say that you could insert some controls to control it from the computer, even only to enable/disable it without having to mess with telnet? There's always some space for improvementsLordByte wrote:Chances for the PVRDecoder to "grow" to store ANYTHING on the TV is somewhere between ZERO and NONE
You need to register as donor to be allowed access to rooting tool(s).lfctom wrote:Hi,
When i click on the 'H-Series' link on this post ("- Samsung SmartTV series E, F or H with root-access. Rooting-tool(s) here: E-Series, F-Series and H-Series"), it takes me to a page which says "You are not authorised to read this forum.".
Would it be possible to have the rooting tool for the H series?
Thanks
I seem to remember something about a reset-switch ..Tvaddickt wrote:Where are the settings stored? Have some problems, the decoder will crash sometimes. I guess the settings are not stored in the .exe file? I want to "reinstall" the PVRdecoder.
Ok but please consider the fact that, since I need a working Skype, I can't keep the tv rooted indefinitely and so I have to decrypt my recordings and unroot, then after some time root it again to decrypt the new recordings and soon unroot again. And so on. Boring, right? But it's the best that I can do at the moment to meet my needs. Now, you can probably see that in this situation the plug-in won't solve anything. Anyway it will still be useful during the times when my tv is rooted: in this case I can avoid to retrieve the new recordings over wifi together with the other ones. It would mean saving a lot of time, because it takes hours to download them to the pc and some more hours to convert them in mp4Lordbyte wrote:@tendi,
Mixing the PVRDecoder with the plug-in we are talking about is "odd", as the plug-in would not be a part of the PVRDecoder ecosystem.
It would serve no purpose for the PVRDecoder itself, and thus is not part of the PVRDecoder.
sectroyers plug-in is entirely stand-alone, and when using it, you would never need the PVRDecoder.
In this scenario the PVRDecoder would only serve to decrypt the recordings made BEFORE the plug-in was installed.
After you install the plug-in you can delete the PVRDecoder.
And as far as I understand it, the plug-in is automated and start up automatically. Much less hazzle than with the PVRDecoder.
I'll do it immediately!LordByte wrote:Now, - go write a nice letter to sectroyer asking for permission to use his plug-in (dont worry, he is a nice person under a thin coat of "i am the master of the universe")
Let me (us) know how it works out for you !
Thanks for your helpLordbyte wrote:I seem to remember something about a reset-switch ..Tvaddickt wrote:Where are the settings stored? Have some problems, the decoder will crash sometimes. I guess the settings are not stored in the .exe file? I want to "reinstall" the PVRdecoder.
Try opening a command-prompt, and launch the pvrdecoder like this: PVRDecoder.exe /reset
Does that do anything ?
