40ES5500 problems

Post by iondarie »

Hello,

I am recently running into some problems with my 40ES5500. It reboots by itself without any reason, now it refuses to see the internet connection (it sees the LAN).

Can i make a FW downgrade or use an alternative FW? Is it possible tho flash the ES6500 FW to ES5500?

Or please give me some ideas on how to fix my current problems.

Thank you,

Both already have the same firmware, downgrade is not possible

Factory reset from service menu maybe?

ES5500 = VERSION : 2004.1 (27 Nov 2014) / ES6500 = VERSION : 2003.2 (23 Feb 2015)

I suspect you're comparing firmwares from different regions, they're not compatible between them :)

Don't update!!!! It won't help and it's not needed. Let's wait 1-2 days if Samsung won't resolve this I will release my fix (which already works here :D)
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)
If you want me to help you please paste FULL log(s) to "spoiler"/"code" bbcodes or provide link(s) to pasted file(s) on https://pastebin.com Otherwise "NO HELP"!!!
If you want root DISABLE internet access to your device!!!!
DO NOT EVER INSTALL FIRMWARE UPGRADE !!!!

Unfotunately i am already on the latest version 2004.1. Let's hope they will fix it.

Is there any way to speed up the tv? SmartHub is painfully slow :(

I am surprised smart hub works for you :D Anyway to avoid future updates you should disable OTN Support as quickly as possible :)

It's also good habit (helps in some situations) to disable OTA Support :)
