I find myself in the same situation as Darkmega. An unfortunate auto-update of the firmware has brought my rooted TV to version 2105, of course losing the root (I only use the root to be able to decrypt PVR recordings, fwiw).
So I would like to ask 2 things : first, is the donators' method technically complicated to implement? I wouldn't want to donate only to find out the process is too complicated for me Second, how much are you supposed to donate to have access to these root methods? This is not very clear from the donations page. Thanks for any info

It depends on your skill, but it's supposed to be accessible to everybody

Donate as much as you can, but 10$ is enough to become member of donor's group
