Rooting H Series (H7000/7090/7080) possible?

Post by TheInvisible »

Hy there,

i'm from Germany and own a 60H7000 with Firmware T-MST14DEUC-1108.1, of course i disabled otn and ota updates in the (Extended) Service menue.
i read that you had success rooting h series, is it generally possible to root this tv?
if yes, when do you think you'll release the method?
Really looking Forward to get nfs/smb access to my Network Shares, dlna sucks :-) or is there any other way to get nfs/smb Access without rooting?

big thx for your reply!

It will be possible to root but ONLY if you disable OTN Support ASAP :)
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)
If you want me to help you please paste FULL log(s) to "spoiler"/"code" bbcodes or provide link(s) to pasted file(s) on https://pastebin.com Otherwise "NO HELP"!!!
If you want root DISABLE internet access to your device!!!!
DO NOT EVER INSTALL FIRMWARE UPGRADE !!!!

Yes ofcourse, I will disable OTN.
And this rooting isn't a harmful rooting, is it? I mean, I can simply unroot it to be able to get warranty services from samsung if needed.
I believe rooting only involves installing SamyGo app and removing it means no root. Right?

It's NOT the matter whether you "will". It's the matter whether it is or not too late for you to root your TV :D I think you don't understand what "ASAP" means :)

Well it's not harmful but you probably solved your "problem" by NOT disabling OTN Support ASAP :)
