You can patch your firmware with "Alternate Way" than you could start to load this plugin at each start automatically.
You can write to NAS devices directly with this utility. It's working on me (with 8.1 version.)

We are all could mount NFS and CIFS, so there must be problem on your setup.
But for mounting problems, please use another thread, not here thanks.
