Can I control my 6400 over wifi if I root?

I've just replaced my ageing D8000 with an H6400 and went to use the remote app feature which enabled me to use the custom remote control app I've created for all my IP connected kit, only to find that Samsung have turned this feature off >:(

I refuse to go back to controlling kit with IR and installing a Samsung only remote is out of the question. Is there any way to enable an open standard via rooting the set (I did this on the D8000) or am I going to have to send it back?

Sadly, you can control it only with samsung's smartview 2, which only works on a few phones. It's a pitty things are like this - it's samsung's fault

They have also have some http://www.samsung.com/us/apps/smart-view-2/ windows only app.

Yes you can control with twisted remote android application. All the functions are working well. I have H6500 and it is working fine with android twisted remote application. before that i tried nos. of application but could not success. PS. My TV is not rooted still this app is working fine

What version of twisted did you use? Unfortunately it's not available in my country, so I had to get the APK from shady sites on the internet. I currently have v1.55 installed, and can only control Volume Up + Volume Down. Can you share your APK?

Also, just to be sure - you're not using the IR blaster on your phone, right? Also - wow, they updated the app yesterday. Need to start looking for the APK...

Version 1.65.6 I am Using. No I am not using IR Blaster but only through Wifi I am operating my TV. I have downloaded from Play store and. If you want I can make APK with ES file explorer during this weekend and will share with you. PS . I also control my LED with smart view 2.0 which I have installed in my windows 10 tablet. Only i can not transfer TV screen to my tablet as HDMI does not allow it and I do not have DTT antenna so I can not test It.

I confirm that Tvisted works perfectly with my yet unrooted tv. Sometimes looses the pairing with the tv, but works after repairing. Thanks for sharing!

Can you help me to open service menu in H series LED. I dont have IR phone. I also tried with wave file but could not success. I dont have standard remote too. Still any hope??
