[App] libFakeEDID E/F/H
Re: [App] libFakeEDID E/F/H
Hello
I have a doubt. I can patch suscessfully my tv with HDMIpassthru but without libFakeEDID. It works fine and I can select dolby digital on my tv and I can hear the sound. Is it normal? Do you recomend me I patch with libfakeEDID too and even so?
My tv:
T-MST12DEUC-2111.1

It's possible that some TVs already have AC3 compliant EDID (never DTS though), or that your HDMI device skips EDID handshake. No need to patch more if it already works as you expect

Re: [App] libFakeEDID E/F/H
Ok Thanks.
It Works but I have a problem. The sounds is very low. I have to turn maximum volume level of the yamaha srt 1000 sound bar.
I don't know which is the problem.
The other problem is the wait time when I turn on the tv. It is possible to install a samygo firmware with this feature (not app) to resolve this?
Thanks

It's passthrough, therefore untouched by TV, if volume is low it means your source volume is low.arekkusa wrote:It Works but I have a problem. The sounds is very low. I have to turn maximum volume level of the yamaha srt 1000 sound bar.
Nope, only clues are the ones I given a few posts abovearekkusa wrote:The other problem is the wait time when I turn on the tv. It is possible to install a samygo firmware with this feature (not app) to resolve this?

Re: [App] libFakeEDID E/F/H
My first post
:
I'm from german (sorry for my english), i've the ue40f6340 with samygo extensions running.
I used libFakeEDID for my linux pc on hdmi4. The success was, that i got dts with the passthrough patch. But only dts without dolby digital. Before I've saved 5!!! FakeEDIDdumps, 4 for my HDMIs and one default. Accidently i made a libFakeEDID load with all 5 dumps.
After that i made a libFakeEDID default run on my HDMI nr.4
Now I can't get any dolbydigital sound on my normal dvb-tv anymore. I guess I've overwritten something. I'd only done those operations mentioned above.
So, what can I do?
tnx

Re: [App] libFakeEDID E/F/H
You're probably wrong elsewhere, EDIDs have NOTHING to do with DVB-T audio (and more generally: internal tuners) and concern only HDMI handshake. Only known issue, as told just above, is sometimes silent audio output when switching back to TV source, fixed by channel change or HDMI device power off before source change.
About original dumps, you were warned enough to backup them, but if you saved at least one you can duplicate/rename to another number, since 4 dumps should originally be the same. Otherwise you can only hope somebody with similar TV attach his owns. Anyway using "DEFAULT" ones shouldn't cause any problem, they're close enough to originals (if not the same).

Re: [App] libFakeEDID E/F/H
Thanks for the fast reply.
I don't know why, now i've just dts passthrough without dolby digital, even on normal TV. So, once again, i have dts passthrough on every HDMI Port and even on TV and even on virtual usb with samba share. My older Sony AV Receiver reports only dts every time, no matter if the source is dolby digital or dts.
Four for the HDMI and one default.

Re: [App] libFakeEDID E/F/H
What if you disable (experimental=likely to cause strange things) DTS support in libHDMIpassthru?

Re: [App] libFakeEDID E/F/H
Really good work zoelechat.
Your hint to disable dts brought the exact old behaviour.
More than that I realized that I have to change two items in the menu to have ac3. First under the "tool" key and then under the "menu" key. This was my mistake
The change under the menu key always defaults to dts.
Now I have at least dts with HDMI4 on my linux pc (no ac3) and standard behaviour for all the rest.
Big, big thank you, do you think there is also any possibility to enable ac3 support on pc HDMI?

Re: [App] libFakeEDID E/F/H
It should already be there, no idea why it's not, people generally miss DTS, not AC3yseq wrote:do you think there is also any possibility to enable ac3 support on pc HDMI?

Are you sure about your PC AC3 bitstream capability/setup (over HDMI)?
