Re: help to root my H6270, please
The log you provided is from "new Skype root" and NOT from "Rooting H on latest firmwares"sebausmd wrote:i followed the root steps ([!!!] Rooting H on latest firmwares), but i get some problems...
I`m on T_MST14DEUC-2740.6 firmware...
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)
If you want me to help you please paste FULL log(s) to "spoiler"/"code" bbcodes or provide link(s) to pasted file(s) on https://pastebin.com Otherwise "NO HELP"!!!
If you want root DISABLE internet access to your device!!!!
DO NOT EVER INSTALL FIRMWARE UPGRADE !!!!

Re: [!!!] Rooting H on latest firmwares
Hi sectroyer
It's me again the person getting ready to try H tv method on my H6500 blu Ray player. I wanted to ask a few things before I start:
1. The player only has one USB port, I do like to connect my hard drive to it to play mkv files. If I switch the player off fully and unplug rooting USB stick, will it still brick the player?
2. Can a USB hub be used on that port instead to avoid this?
3. I cannot use Skype method as its a bd player so I just use the other H tv method for latest firmwares? Does this slow the player down in any way? Boot-up slow only?
Thanks

Absolutely no problem in unplugging USB while device is OFF. And no risk of brick even if device is ON, just strongly unadvised since USB is constantly in use (could scratch data on it, or even brick USB stick itself). You will just get root or not depending on USB plugged or not at boot time.ishaqmir wrote:1. The player only has one USB port, I do like to connect my hard drive to it to play mkv files. I guess so, to be sure you can already try one with 2 media devices plugged for example.ishaqmir wrote:2. Can a USB hub be used on that port instead to avoid this?
Slowdowns nothing. Root can take some time to be up but meanwhile everything else continues to take place normally.ishaqmir wrote:3. I cannot use Skype method as its a bd player so I just use the other H tv method for latest firmwares? Does this slow the player down in any way? Boot-up slow only?
