Heh, i bought one from dealextreme recently. It is based on ASIX chip also (Asix ax88178). Your post is right on time ;)
Even my tv is other than C series :-)

P.s. where did you find sources for driver ?

I think you have better to open a topic at C series hardware section for this. Than you could put link your success here. That keeps threads clean. ;)
