Enable Serial Input over Ex-Link cable doesn't work

Hello,
i have built with
this converter an ex-link cable.
The Serial-Output works fine, but the serial input is not working.
The code 10041004 + Enter was ignored
what am I doing wrong ?
My TY is a UE46D7090

hi everybody.
I also purchased the modul rubinho76 has written about earlier in this post. My question now is how to connect a vga-cable with this part.
I found this in wiki:
Pin 4 at the VGA connector is RX (from the TV's point of view)
Pin 11 at the VGA connector is TX (from the TV's point of view)
till here it's clear to me, but do I really have to connect all the other pins to ground like told in wiki:
Pin 5,6,7,8 and the case at the VGA connector are GND

i personally use pin5 for GND.

so it's up to me which pin I choose of 5,6,7,8 or case.
