I downloaded SamyGO-Extensions from svn cleanly, suited DL_DIR to my src, left the
target machine as was (T-CHU7DEUC, I too own a UE40B7020WW) and have a go at
compilation in a Debian 5.0.4 machine (lenny, I think). I was impressed by the sanity
checks, installed correctly two or three minor utilities missing from my system, and then
the main cross-compilation started (to be on the safe side, I did repeat it with a clean
source after the first failure, to no avail). After a long time, the build stop with several
error messages, which boil down to this one:
/..long.path..//SamyGO-Extensions/build/tmp/cross/arm-linux-gnueabi/bin/as: unrecognized option `-Qy'
make[3]: *** [g++spec.o] Error 1
and then leaving directories and general failures in tasks oe_runmake, do_compile, package gcc-cross-4.2.0-4.0.9,
and of course Build of SamyGO-Extensions-image failed.
Now, this seems like an easy to fix error, but I am afraid that as is too low-level for a fortran geek like me,
and the really impressive build of SamyGO-Extensions has me scared to touch something so deep. Does any
one know if this may be due to any environment variable or such on my part? Because I cannot find any
instance of -Qy in the main Makefile, nor in the makefiles of the directory it was running in, which was:
/..long.path../SamyGO-Extensions/build/tmp/work/i686-linux-gnueabi/gcc-cross-4.2.0-4.0.9-r1/gcc-4.2.0-4.0.9/build.i686-linux.arm-linux-gnueabi/gcc
Any help will be appreciated, as well as some indication of whether precompiled binaries are available!
Thanks
Miguel
