n00b needs help unbricking bd-d5300

after an unsuccesful fw downgrade try my bd-d5300 is bricked. it won't go any further than the samsung smart blu-ray player logo. after researching the wikis it seems to be possible to enter the service menu with two special fanet usb cables, which would be fantastic because i can't solder for the life of me. is it correct that this will work and i can do a factory reset this way? what are the steps i have to do? thank you for your help!
