d7000 local set

Post by Tomaski »

hello guys,
i am having a bit of a problem here....
I am trying to change my TV's region, and followed all the instructions mentioned here to unlock "local Set" option in the service menu.
However, when I access this setting and click it, nothing happens.
One and only region listed is EU_Benelux and there are no other regions available.
Reason I want to change it is that I have a foreign (Polish) CAM+ module, which I want to use.
Any help?

Hi, no problem, you can use ruSamsungTVcommunicator to send 3speed and Factory keys to unlock LocalSet option in SM, which is greyed out and not available for editing.

You can use any available of methods to send factory keys 3Speed+Factory described here: (http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/Remote ... 8ruSTVC.29)

thank you for your reply juuso.

thing is, I already did that. LocalSet option is unlocked (it is not greyed out anymore and is accessible), but when I open it I see only EU_Benelux as if this was the only locale available on my device. So my question is how do I make those additional locales appear?

Hi Tomanski,
First you have to check if the region is set to PANEURO
At the main menu go to CONTROL enter
At the next menu to SUB OPTION enter
the following table should mention in the right column "Region" PANEURO
Most likely it is already there
Otherwise go arrow down so often until you are at the region cell
There you have to press arrow right or left several times to see and change the value
When you selected PANEURO press the RETURN key, not enter
The two column table should show region Paneuro
With Return go back to the main menu and go to the option menu
If you now go to "Local Set" and press the right or left arrow several times you will/should see many values, they follow as a sequence and do not pop-up as a menu.
Or do you not see a sequence and really just EU-BENELUX. For example there is EU-UK, CIS-ARMENIA and many others when you press the right arrow, but you can also go back with the left arrow.
To the left there is a general EU option, but I do not know which is your right option
When you selected something press RETURN not enter
Hope it helps, but be careful not to change things where you do know where they are for
