I have patched firmware firmware 1032 that run samygo when tv start. It worked fine for a week and now i have a blank screen and the light flashes 6 times. Have a 3.5 mm jack on back of tv labeled ex-link. Have a ftdi ex-link cable but i dont get any output from tv. already swapped rx and tx as said in wiki and also pluged wires into the vga port and still nothing. also performed loopbak test to cofirm cable working. usb ports seem dead. any sugesstions.

why it become bricked? did you do something in console or in service menu? here is no reason to brick because just of patched firmwares.

Did not do anything in console or in service menu. Plug in usb with samygo on it and tv went off and came back on and went black.

Weird, wird, weird brick. If you haven`t set rs232 to debug in service menu to switch ExLink to debug mode, then no log nor access trough Exlink. Logs show about nothing, but red led flashes like kernel or rootfs became damaged. If i`m right and kernel or rootfs wont load, then no chance for repair. Let`s wait for other user opinions...

Repair possible by mainboard replace. Be prepared to search for second hand mainboard for your TV.

ok will do. I set it to debug and brought the best cable. Im waiting on a ca-42 and i will try that. will give results, should have monday.

note that most c-series tvs have their ex-link connection included in vga port, headphone-jack was in b-series...

I have a headphone jack that says ex-link. It was hacked with a patched firmware to run samygo on startup and i also installed hack widget.

what about hotplug? you could try to restore tv..., just need to make some script, called run.sh, place on fat32 formatted USB and attach it while TV is ON.
Needed to perform some tests to decide what`s wrong and how to treat.
