Post by apoklyps3 »

Is wake on lan possible for F series, specificaly for F6400?
I use my TV as main monitor for my PC and i would like to be able to Wake the TV at the startup of windows via WOL.

IIRC it has already been discussed and it's not possible (hardware limitation)...
However, wake TV with PC is probably conceivable through HDMI-CEC and such adapter:

(will it work with Samsung's "Anynet+"? Not sure...)
I do NOT receive any PM. Please use forum.

well, i thought since since the samsung firmware is based on linux and a network card is present it should be possible.
I mean i wasn't asking for wifi wol...that is impossible.

"Wifi wol" isn't impossible :) Anyway WOL is support is determined by hardware and not the OS:)
I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)
If you want me to help you please paste FULL log(s) to "spoiler"/"code" bbcodes or provide link(s) to pasted file(s) on https://pastebin.com Otherwise "NO HELP"!!!
If you want root DISABLE internet access to your device!!!!
DO NOT EVER INSTALL FIRMWARE UPGRADE !!!!

Card is not the only piece of "hardware" required for WOL but basically yes :) You need something like this: http://semidevices.com/projects/HDMI-Et ... index.html
