I don't know if PS series has this ability.
Try to enable wiselink options in your service (and or debug) menu.

I don't know about PS series. But if the movie have DTS sound track, it makes the problem. AFAIK there is no problem with DivX

On DivX, playback resolution is restricted to 720. HD files won't play. I think this is a licencing thing.
