I think it's easier to manage this via script.
Look traffic load for TV from NAS, and if TV opened some ports and reading continuously, that means you are already watching something... So you can sleep that thread for some minutes for try again. I think it's easier way.
Or it might be possible to query this via Soap protocol but you needed to search for it.
