UA55ES8000 rooting and downgrade firmware

Has anybody managed to root this model and downgrade the firmware?

I have been scouring this and other forums for a while and now have an exlink cable connected to my linux mythbackend server.
Like others here, have found option 10 in the TDM missing so unable to get anywhere there.
I also have the factory +3speed working on my i1100 Harmony remote.

I relocated from Australia back to the UK and would dearly like to root this tv so I can change my region.

I'm happy to donate and assist efforts with the Samygo project. As an ex-tv engineer (nobody repairs anything now) able to fault-find down to component level, with a good knowledge of Linux and Microshaft operating systems (did 3 years full-time computer studies at college in Perth, networking system admin) I have a few skills to bring to the table.

I've been careful with my efforts so far, bricking my tv is not an option for me - the wench approval factor (waf) is absolutely paramount. If my wife is unable to see her Lewis, Midsomer or other sundry crappy shows, I'll be sleeping in my taxi.
