PVR Timeshift

Hello,

I am new here and i am planing to install oscam on my tv..
I read some things an will it try.. What i do not unterstand is that the rooting usb stick must be pluged in all the time.. i have 3 usb ports, so on the other port i just plug in the usb device for timeshift am pvr..
am i correct?
