OK, now I have it. Virus-warning for "http.exe", but that I don't need, I think... (I use XAMPP).

you don't need to mess around with own webserver use same method as for d-series rooting:

for further "hacking" you can install the extensions pack for c-series.

maybe someone can be so kindly and write wiki page for c-series too, or we have it already?

OK, now I have made such a exlink cable. But it seems that I got problems installing a driver. I am using win7/64. That one in the download area is not working and that one delivered with the cable gives me just some hyroglyphes.

hieroglyphes mean your cable is ok, but the connection parameters are wrong.

But are you sure that it should work with win7?

I never made it with win7/64, so I used my old notebook with Windows XP and installed the drivers that comes with the cable. In XP I use HyperTerminal.

Did you set the RS232 Jack to "Debug" in the Service_Menu?

Yes, of course. But I get the hyroglyphes even without a connnection to tv: Just plug in the exlink to my laptop and starting putty.

i`m using win7 x64 with pl2303 cable and drivers i uploaded to download area of samygo. All works ok.

It is impossible to install that driver.

My exlink cable accepts only the driver from the cd delivered with the dku5-copy I have bought via amazon. And there I get those hyroglyphes.
And I don't have win xp!

try install on virtual machine (virtualbox or vmware, etc.). You can easily find already installed virtual XP in the PirateBay.
