Re: 46D7000 cycling problem corrupted flash I think.. Help
This: mount mtd_rocommon [MMC_DMA_INTR] Error: Card Error Summary [MMC_INTR] Error: Data read Timeout [MMC_DMA_INTR] Error: Card Error Summary [MMC_INTR] Error: Response Timeout means that Genoa SoC eMMC I/F is not working properly. That, and only that. And no: it doesn't necessarily imply that eMMC...

Re: [SOLVED] Forced "toggle" to repair bricked TV?
I've never entered to the service menu of my tv so Serial debugging I don't think it's enabled on my mainboard. What's worse I don't see an exlink connector soldered. but I do see there's the pinouts for Tx and Rx. Forgot to tell you I have a spare BN94-04355J mainboard I bought to remove the hdmi ...

Re: Samsung G-Series
However, I don't have an idea why they skip "G"... Curiously, 2014 Samsung in-house-developed DTV SoC hardware 2014 platform names are internally still following NATO/ICAO codes (i.e, "G | Golf"]). BTW, Samsung kindly provided open source releases for all (?) their 2014 DTV/BDP/...

Re: C Series EEPROM research
What surprises me is that my dumps remain the same after each reboot! Well, perhaps that's because you are apparently trying to access the wrong EEPROM.. IC8002 on your mainboard is not main SoC (Valencia) EEPROM, it's FRC chip (Micronas/Trident) EEPROM instead. Main SoC EEPROM in UE*C7XXX will be ...

Re: Dump HT-D7100
I have sent 32KB (main SoC) EEPROM dump from my HT-D7100/EN to you via PM. But/beware: - this particular eeprom dump was obtained using software-wise method from the rooted (and heavily customized) player while it was up & running. I.e: there is no guarantee it's internally consistent; use at yo...

Re: SE-208BW external DVD writer / NAS / WAP / DLNA Server
Interesting device; indeed it is currently (widely) available for as little as 25 EUR. Seems to be based on Gemini Storlink SoC (SL2312/SL3516 ?). Hardware-wise, it may be somehow outdated, though.. Can you share some more info (cat /proc/meminfo, cat /proc/mounts, dmesg etc.)? I guess, on that pric...

1) IC901 (2nd picture): main SoC EEPROM 2) IC1203 (last picture): submicom (Weltrend chip) EEPROM 3) HDMI EDID EEPROMs (picture 4 & 5) 4) IC410 (3rd picture): no idea - unless it's close to VGA input (if any), in that case, it's most probably VGA EDID EEPROM Personally (just a guess - no guarant...

Re: Service Menu at HT-D5000
But this setting is temporary, means if i change the disk or switch of an on it will be set to the factory setting. Yeah, similar thing with HT-D7100 - after power off/on, it always defaults audio out to it's own speakers. My question is: is it possible to enter the service-menu - other forums mean...

Re: LE40B650 power on with ex link
Are you saying that, with a bit of guts, you could solder a power line to the serial chip and make it active while in standby? Sort of. I can confirm that Weltrend WT61P8 standby MCU used in B650 mainboard does indeed recognize & respond to power-on ex-link code (\x08,\x22,\x00,\x00,\x00,\x02,\...

Re: LE40B650 power on with ex link
Does anybody know whether the Samsung LE40B650 can be switched on using ex-link. The codes for switching it off and for switching inputs work flawlessly, yet it seems that I am unable to switch it on when it's on standby using the power on code (082200000002d6 / 082200000002d4). Could this be an en...
